For the second year running Ellesse brings style and glamour to the new blue courts of the Mutua Madrid Open, working together with French fashion house Surface to Air.
Italian sportswear protagonist Ellesse, continues its proud reign of official clothing partner of the Madrid Open; dressing the ball boys and girls in stylish tennis wear. This year sees an additional twist to the sponsorship, with the collection being designed by highly revered French fashion house Surface to Air.
This year’s ATP Masters 1000 will see the world’s best male and female tennis stars fight for the Madrid title and for the first time ever, the iconic red clay courts will be blue. This new ‘blue’ image along with the Surface to Air kits will be exclusive to Madrid, which as always sets the benchmark for innovation and style.
Continuing with the modernist theme of the tournament; the final rounds will see trained models take over as ball boys and girls, another concept unique to the Madrid tournament. Ellesse’s long lasting relationship with tennis and style is continued and updated with a contemporary spirit.
Surface to Air chose the colours red, blue and white to fit with the tournament’s image and the ATP rules. Strong Ellesse branding is boasted across the range. Block colouring, modern detailing and panels make the collection wholly unique, lending to current fashion trends and giving the tennis collection a statement fashion edge, synonymous of the signature Surface to Air style.
Ellesse is proud to collaborate with the Surface to Air and is flattered to have the opportunity to outfit the Madrid Open for 2012.
