Inspired by the amazing work of the Help for Heroes which provides direct, practical support to wounded, injured and sick Service personnel, veterans, and their families, this month charity songwriters ow very own Martin Davis (Key Account Sales Manager, here at Focus International Ltd) and Ronnie Teape have teamed up to write a Christmas single download dedicated to the charity.

The song entitled ‘I Found You’ features the beautiful new voice of Francesca Lewis as well as Stevie Craig who makes a guest appearance on Guitar and Miranda Lewis on Cello. The emotive single also features on backing vocals the combined voices of; Maria White, Jan McNeil, Catherine Paropoulos, Rosie Westerling, Julie Naylor, Karen Perkins and Christine Moore (several of whom  have family members on active service).

When asked about the inspiration behind the track, Martin Davis said, ‘From my initial melody and story written on a muddy footpath (on a cold day  in November) Ronnie has done all of the hard work by arranging and recording ‘I found you.’ He has transformed the song into an anthem that hopefully everyone can get behind.

As a voluntary effort everybody working on the project has been amazingly generous with their time and support, not just those on the front line performing but also all those behind the scenes, (like the talented John Paroussi responsible for all the camera work) who have all helped create this moving power ballad.’

All profits will go the charity and the single will be able to be downloaded just in time for an assault on the  Xmas charts.

Help for Heroes was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry after a visit to the hospital at Selly Oak and depends on contributions much like this one to help them in their mission to provide grants to individuals and other Service charities as well as offering them support for life at it’s four Recovery Centres across the UK.
